Safer Greenbelt

Unbiased* electrical consultation.

Concerned?

  • Could your wiring threaten fire, shock, or equipment damage?
  • Does your electrical system fall short in serving your needs?

Get Safer Greenbelt out to check—and advise.

Safer Greenbelt is not selling electrical installation or repair.
Just answers.

Why do people consult?

Do we have unsafe wiring?
Too often, yes.

Can't get to the electrical panel in an emergency? That's an obvious danger. Other hazards found in Greenbelt are less in-your-face.

Example: many lighting upgrades in pre-1980s homes use fixtures that threaten the wires. (But how could you know?) That's one of the many local hazards explained and pictured on the
Hazards Page

Why call Safer Greenbelt?

Peace of mind.

But why not save the money and just call in contractors for free estimates, or wait till something stops working and place a service call?

Because Safer Greenbelt offers electrical safety expertise uncoupled from installation and repair.

That beats The usual alternative.

Our Understanding

What does it mean to have Safer Greenbelt out to your building? Here's the short version:

  • You're calling on a specialist, not hiring a jack of all trades.
  • We both deserve reasonable expectations regarding appointments.
  • Professional consultation means setting limits.
  • You get to set limits as well: how long an evaluation you want, what equipment, if any, you don't want examined.

That's an overview. For just what you can expect and what consultation requires, jump over to the
fine details

What do you mean, unbiased?

Safer Greenbelt is of course biased . . . in favor of safety. "Unbiased" means there's no incentive to favor certain findings. Safer Greenbelt sells only one product—accurate information, reported at the level of generality or nuance you choose. The charges are the same when everything examined seems hunky-dory as when we find danger or at least deficiencies, indicating your wiring needs work.
